So here is the issue i'm having.
The company I work for has a mobile cart division where we make mobile carts. One of the newer A/V carts we are working on is an A/V presentation cart. We have the following devices inside the cart that we're allowing to be switched back/forth:
Mac mini
Apple TV
HP Windows computer
Our cart has a 22" 4:3 ratio touch screen monitor that you can motorize up/down. Pretty neat. Now this monitor only supports SVGA and DVI inputs... so we're using a matrix:

Now, if we use SVGA she switches just fine, no issues, but we're wanting to use HDMI from all of our three sources.... so naturally our monitor does not have HDMI so what do we do? We decided to just use an HDMI to DVI converter... wellllllll by itself going from the mac/apple or HP using this converter to the monitor, she works fine...but again, we're looking to switch the three sources with the matrix... and thats where our problem is
When we have the three computers going into the matrix and then we go from the matrix to our hdmi/dvi converter and to the touch screen... no good. We get no video.... which is an issue.
We tried a device that keeps the HDCP handshake and we tried it after the computers, then after the matrix, but nothing worked... so that didn't seem to operate properly.
So we're kind of stuck here... one option is to just put a touch screen in the podium that has hdmi... BUT the people who actually made the podium didn't make it a nice 16:9 ratio, its a 4:3 ratio cut-out for a monitor (18" wide by 14.5" high).
Sooooooooo any ideas from you folks on what we can do.
Now, we need the matrix... because we need to switch sources and have mic inputs going over the sources as well as audio and this does all that.
And we need HDMI because what i failed to tell you was that we're also planning to split our HDMI signal to the local monitor AND a projector later on... but we have not even gotten that far yet.
The matrix is indeed cool it'll take the HDMI signal from the pc and convert it to VGA which is great, but we can't use VGA on the matrix... because for SOME STRANGE REASON when we switch sources away from the apple products, we lose the whole signal and it does not come back, therefore we needed the HDMI... go figure..
So let me know.. what can we do?
