Matrix Orbital-need temp probes?

I'm getting a Matrix Orbital MX232 and I am wondering if I need any temperature probes with it. Can it just get the temps through software for things like the cpu, hard drives, and video cards? Or are the temp probes required?

Good question and I am wondering the same thing. I know that it comes with a program called LCDC which I think does some of this stuff.
 
Looks like LCDC can get cpu and gpu temps from software, but I don't think you can get hdd temps without a probe.
