Alright, let me try this one more time. I just installed XP64 last night, everything went without a hitch. I updated the drivers for everything; latest nForce, latest ForceWare, drivers for my VIA Envy 24, etc. In both CS:S and 3dMark2001SE I get massive, massive stuttering. Every few seconds or so (it's not regular, sometimes it can be every 3 seconds, sometimes every 30) whatever game I'm playing will just freeze completely, and if there are any sounds playing they'll go into an infinite loop. The framerate before and after these stutters is perfectly fine.
I've tried the following:
Reinstalling nForce drivers.
Reinstalling ForceWare.
Uninstalling audio drivers.
Disabling onboard audio in BIOS.
Killing all extraneous processes.
Setting overclock back to default.
It's not a temperature problem. Video card is at 70C load, CPU is at 43C load overclocked, 35C load stock. System is:
A64 (obviously) 3200+
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
1 GB Corsair PC3200
6800GT
550W TruControl PSU
Never had this problem in XP Pro 32 bit. Please, anybody have any ideas or do I just have to go to regular XP Pro?
