3dmark means little to most, yes I agree, but this is a problem which is really starting to bug me.

Specs

3200(Barton) +OC'ed @ 2.340Ghz
1GB PC3200 (Daul Channel)
ALL-IN-WONDER 9800pro 405/364
Abit NF7 S2
WD-Cavier 160gb HD
-Onboard Nforce Sound (sounds way better then my Fortissimo III 7.1 Card)

3Dmark 2001SE score = 9701 no OCing, and 11207 with the OC

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8788602 .... BRUTAl.. I have oced, and I am scoring 11207 now.. but that is still crap for any 9800pro..

AGp App is set to 128 which is fine, FSB = okay, Drivers = 5.11a Cats.. (tried the omegas, all they did where crash my comp..) Using Windows XP Pro.. with SP2

-IN game performance is also extremely poor as well, games like COD:UO run at no more then 80 fps in smaller areas down to as low as 14fps in others.. Is the AIW just slower then the regular radeons ? ANY ideas at all as to what could be responsible for such a low score... My friends x600 AIW handed me an ass whooping benching 12k in 2001.... Some input on this would really be great. :).. I have seen regular 9800's scoring 14 to 16k in the past, and I can really feel the lowziness.

Vid drivers = fully updated
Nforce mobo drivers = updated
bios = updated

For any ATI 9X00 i recommend Catalyst 4.12, why dont you give them a try?

oldmx

and this will run fine with my AIW// aka I won't loose my tv tuner / s-out ect.. I love those to deaath. :) . (sorry for all these questions, I am a major n00b to the AIW series, just trying to be 100 % sure.

I tried the 4.12's, I am doing 12 384 now... still 3k lower then what alot of reviewers are scoring....... :( . I am going to try the 5.9's and 5.10's, see if that makes any difference, If anyone else has any other ideas I am wiiiidde open.

My old system is almost identical to yours except I'm at 2.3 and I have the 9800pro non AIW.
I haven't run that benchmark in a while though and can't remember what I got. I'll run it if you want to know what I get.

I agree about the CATS. ATI gave some bad stuttering with BF2 in their later drivers. Switching back fixed my problems.

That would be great man, thanks. The few reviews I read with a nearly identical setup scored this card @ 15 to 16k..... I seem to be getting brutalized in the car chase, and high detail lobby. (car chase @ high dropping to 36fps at some points...)... Nature is running pretty danm well, doing 116 to 234 fps... The rest are fine. It just seems to be those few.. :(

Something does sound amiss here....my non OCed 2500 Barton system does 15001 in 3dMark 2001 with a 9800 Pro in it, so you should be ahead of that. What kind of motherboard do you have, btw?

uninstall and reinstall your mobo drivers. Sounds like agp driver isnt installed correctly (near 20k with 9800 pro in 3dmark2k1, so yeah, your score is a bit low.)

Ill do a full reinstall of all drivers then, and use the 4.12's over mobo drivers ect. and I will report back.

Tried a fresh reinstall of the mobo drivers and video drivers... andn othing, a nearly identical score. :(

Wow, THanks a ton guys, it seemed the problem was the bios, I flashed the cmos, then installed the lastest bios revision and BOOm. scoring 18347 now, I am more then happy with this score :p :) . Killing my friends x850 as well, which is scoring 17k. (ill try and help him with his score now. Thanks a ton !
