Mass Effect and CF, does it work at all?

Was doing some testing yesterday night on my CF 4850 rig and enabling CF didn't seem to do much in terms of framerates for me in mass effect at all settings on high, textures on ultra high, and playing at 2500x1600. Am I just doing it wrong?

It seems like CF drivers right now are having problems. A lot of the reviews you see no gains or negative gains with CF enabled. Hopefully this will be cleared up fairly quickly, as I just ordered 2 4870s.

Yeah, I know that everyone thinks the GTX 280 is overpriced crap, but one of the reasons I got two 280's is because I think SLI is more solid than CF. I've not had any issues and noticed no microstuttering with SLI is Mass Effect. I'll post some performance number in SLI later if you just want something to compre to. Mass Effect isn't in any professional benchmarks that I've seen.

I don't think anyone cares what you bought so stop going around trying to justify it because it looks kinda desperate. If you think you made a rational purchase, good for you.

OP, it could be CF, but I think 4850s may just not have the bandwidth for 2560x1600. Post your results when new drivers come out.

Really? I mean it runs fine right now on a single 4850 at about 30-35 FPS average, so I'm hesitant to say that the 4850 doesn't have the BW.

Dude, chill out. I'm going to probably by a pair of 4870's or a 4870x2 and I'm really intrested in CF performance.
