Mass Effect 4 Panel From Comic-Con

I love the Mass Effect universe and it's characters. I love the art style, themes, genre I love everything about Mass Effect. Please don't fuck this up, please don't fuck this up, please don't fuck this up.

agree 100%. This and Deus Ex are my favs of all time.

You guys make Mass Effect sound awesome, maybe I should give it a try.

You must of lived under a rock when 1 and 2 released.

I recommend you hurry up and play all 3, well don't rush them, they suck if they are rushed.

ME 1 was my favorite, I liked the character development and overly detailed skill trees.
ME 2 was my least favorite, it advanced combat quite a bit, but I didn't care for the simplified skill/ability choices...and the giant baby terminator ending? MEH.
ME 3 was a further refinement of the combat system, and seemed to have better acting than 2, until the FUBAR ending. I replayed 1 a few times, and 2 one time, I never touched ME3 after the ending.

I look forward to ME 4 hitting $5 on steam, at which point I'll give it a try.

I played with a female Shepard in all 3 games, better voice acting, great ass.

Not necessarily. I missed out on it til around 2011 before I caught on. I dont like RPG's mainly because Im riddled with ADD and theyre just a little too involved for somebody like me with the attention span of a gnat. I kept hearing all the rave reviews of Mass Effect and decided to watch some gameplay videos on Youtube and saw that it was kind of a shooter/RPG. I bought it one weekend when the wife and kid were out of town and I sat there and played for 9 hours straight! The only other time Ive done that was the first time I played Doom on the PS1 back in 1995.

And the thing about loving Mass Effect is that if you dont get emotionally attached/invested in the characters, you probably wont like it as much as somebody like me. I really got into the cast of all the ME games and got attached to them and when you become emotionally invested in the characters, youre going to like a game a whole lot more. If you play ME and dont give a shit about the characters, its not going to be nearly as spectacular and youll be wondering where you can score some of the crack guys like me are obviously smoking.

I think the characters are the biggest strength of Mass Effect. There are lots of games with better gameplay , better music and better graphics. Its the great characters and the voice actors and their chemistry that make it as great as it is. There are death scenes that really yank at the heart strings and will have you desperately fumbling thru your saves so you can redo it because you cant go on like that. In ME3 when I dump Liara for Tali, her reaction really makes me feel like a douchebag! They're fucking video game characters for Christ's sake LOL! Thats what Im talking about. If you dont get into the cast then the game wont be as great to you as it is to fans like me.

i thought they said it was a trilogy with a conclusion that you can't untie anymore. i guess money unties the biggest knot and there's always the option to make a prequel and go backwards in the timeline.

Actually, after 2 I believe it was. they said after 3, Shepard's story is over. But they will have other stories in the same universe.
