I have a TI-89 Ti that I got for christmas. It uses the new USB TIConnect sync cable instead of the traditional serial one.
I need to dump the ROM from the calculator so that I can use VirtualTI to make some graphics for a project I am writing.
I read up on Google and TICalc.org and people said to just download the latest ROM for the TI-89 (currently 2.09) from education.ti.com . I downloaded that ROM and VTI won't recognize it.
The ROM dumper that is built into VTI does not currently support the USB cable. However, I thought that it might be possible to map the USB cable to a COM port (i did this for hacking my motorola USB cell phone).
Does anyone have any ideas or links to USB-capable ROM dumpers for this calculator?
thanks in advance!
