When I start my computer and it starts counting my ram and it starts over and counts it over and over but you can press escape and just get past it
about 90% of the time when youre running windows setup it will crash, and it will just work sometimes and crash later in the setup . Ive tried installing windows 2000 , xp pro, and xp home. The only one I have gotten to work was windows 2000 and I had to put the hard drive in a different computer and install it from there just to get an operating system.

It worked if you didnt use a mouse or any usb devices until I installed my video card drivers. Now sometimes lsass.exe will crash on startup, explorer crashes 7-8 times and svchosts usually crashes at least once. I keep getting a blue screen of death if I try to use any usb devices or a mouse.

I used the IDE cable that came with my motherboard and the computer will get into windows and just keep restarting over and over. I tried using an older flat one and it does the same thing, but I found one cable that let me get into Windows 3 different times but its really rare for that to happen.

I replaced the hard drive, mouse, made copies of all os's tried copies and original.
Ive been working on it for about 5 days and im not getting anywhere

Is the motherboard a problem, before I just go buy another one? because I think my warranty ran out 2 days ago.

memtest memtest, sounds like ram, memtest, memtest

generic=CRAP!
QFT. Also, how did you get your hands on a 6400 Ultra? ;)

oops. 6800 ultra =)

not the ram , tried it on other comp and it booted up fine ( using right now )
I just ordered another motherboard, I think im just gonna trash this kv8 pro My warranty is gone and it seems like too many things are going wrong to be each individual piece of hardware.

somebody told me that it was a good motherboard, but I think my record for actually staying in the OS without it crashing was about 2 min
