Right, this Proxy lark is doing my nut in,
I figure I can add the Folding@Home service to alot of the work computers (I'm the IT Managers help), but it just will not connect to our ISA on Windows 2003. It's all a bit weird, my computer has downloaded serveral workunits, and olny returned a few. My PC at home, and the server have direct access to the internet, so how easy (by easy I mean automated as much as possible) is it to manaully collect results from all machines and distrbute the work units.
I can write batch files etc. I've got a dual Xeon 1.7Ghz machine waiting to go on the network, want to get THAT folding.

Ah ha!
Found the problem

FAH is connecting to 171.67.89.151:8080 to upload units, but 8080 is our proxy port number, so it won't upload.

Might not be your problem at all, I have several "stuck" wu's wating for .151 to become active again. It's been down for a few days. You can check the server stats at stanford to be sure.

Fold on

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=759399 There's one in there that's F@Hv3 that turmelle made. I took that and updated it to F@Hv4: http://stupid-trash.net/f@h4.zip All you need to do is get in there and edit the config files for your username, as it's set to mine now. I've heard some people say it didn't work on WinXP, some people I've given it to to try and borg their rigs, but I can't say firsthand.

Cheers! i notice FireDaemon Lite can only install one service, so I've abandoned it.
