I have a ton of music in my itunes library located among several different hard drives in my computer - I'm planning on replacing some of these smaller hd's with one big one and dumping all the music files there. Is there any way to do this painlessly without basically removing all the music from itunes and re-adding them?

That will basically mean I have to remake all my playlists and ratings which would take forever.

Any options for me?

Set your new drive as the default iTunes folder and then go to File > Library > Consolidate Library...

It'll move everything there, you wont lose any of your playlists or songs.

PS: You wouldn't lose your ratings even if you had to start fresh, they're stored in the file tags.
