Malwarebytes 3 - What happen?

There seem to be some lifetime licenses available again,(Canadian site) not sure if they are legit, so not posting a link..
 
Wow - thanks fo the headsup. Didn't know they upgraded to 3.0 either. I thought the auto update would have taken care of that by itself but I guess since it's a version jump, I have to do it manually.
 
Its sad that they shifted to yearly payments model for new subscriptions
 
Only one out of three of my computers updated to 3.0 automatically, the other two simply will not even though I have it set up in the settings.
They all have the lifetime keys from way back but I am leery to manually install and have it bork the key as the download is for the free version.
 
I gave up on MBAM with V3. It was barely alpha quality, never should have been released in its current form. From not activating on startup, to randomly shutting off, to crashing systems... I switched to Zemana and haven't looked back. Have lifetime licenses to both, so why not?
 
Well my lifetime license is now kaput.

After Malwarebytes nagging me 15 times a day to update I finally did it yesterday. Today, my profile is all jacked up, loaded in with a temp profile.

Uninstall Malwarebytes, reboot, and all is right with the world. Wish I saw this thread before updating that :)

The license isn't whats broken. considering v3 was installed for less than 24 hours and already jacked something up I have no further interest in MWB. It never actually caught anything for me anyway
 
Ah, gotcha. Yeah, 3 is borked.

As for catching anything... I haven't seen a virus since I stopped torrenting years ago. Does anyone actively see virii anymore just from browsing the net? Very, very rare in my eyes.

Not from general browsing, most I see these days are through email, seems to be the most common method of virus these days.
 
I stick to web based email for personal use, and if I'm using corporate mail I either have a say in what they use on their servers, or I trust in them to choose a proper product. So between Google and Corporate, I haven't seen one there either. Then again, I barely use email these days.

I'm debating giving MBAM3 another shot. Zemana antilogger is giving me an issue with their latest version, doesn't work with Discord push to talk properly. Won't recognise the keybind. That's an issue for me.

i better licked malware bytes 2. because the free test version was portalbe on demand scanner. easy way to have it as an sidearm scanner.
I don't like AV program that have tons of shit running that i dont really trust

same shit happende to mcafee stinger.
