Malware Screwed Up Connection

A friend of mine got one of those browser hijacking/malware hostile takeover things. MalwareBytes got rid of it but now he has weird shit going on with his connection. Any ides on how to get his connection back to normal without reformatting? He's on Windows 7.

Download and run LSP-Fix. If it says 'No Problems Found' when you run it, then just close it.

From an elevated cmd prompt type:

ipconfig /flushdns

Also try Glary Utilities, Internet Explorer Assistant and go through the tabs removing all add-ons that may be stuck.

Also run a HijackThis! and look that over. Just don't remove something you are unsure of because that also list necessary files.
