Making Windows Image

I used to have this utility that you could customize your Windows installation image before you burned it onto a CD. You could make the CD have your network drivers and RAID drivers for example. So when you were doing the windows installation and windows asked for you to insert a floppy or anything of that sort, the drivers would already be on the CD. And once you were done installing, you could immediately get online and start downloading other various drivers/software.

Anyone know of any utilities that do this? It would really come in handy because I plan on formatting my machine and installing Windows 64bit and this would make my life a lot easier.

nLite is fine for XP, I've never had issues.

But do not break the #1 cardinal rule with Vista... Leave it alone.
 
Does ADDING stuff via vLite fuck up Vista? I loved that function in nLite. Automatic drivers, SATA without F6, FireFox, T-Bird, Flash, etc all done, and without any input from me once started
 
Not really, no, because the idea works just as it did in XP: most of the time you're just adding silent installers (switchless) that get executed during the installation process, sometimes you'd end up with truly integrated apps because of the raw files and .inf stuff to do the integration.

Never really heard people complaining about vLite and adding stuff - it's pretty much always the other way around. :D
