I just purchased a gig of SD ram. My mobo has 4 Ram slots, 2 DDR and 2 SD. Before i had purchased the gig of SD ram, i had 256 DDR. Is there a way to mod out my mobo to make it boot with both SD and DDR rams inserted. Because as it stands, when i have both in, it doesn't boot at all.

so theres no way to have them both boot so i have both DDR and SD ram working together?

it just doesn't boot when i add both the ddr and sd in together. So it is impossable to mix them?

Pick one and stick with one.

wont work with 2 totally different types of ram like that.

no way that ive ever heard of to make that work. maybe with billions of dollars in research you may be able to figure something out, but why when you can spend $150 and get a gig of DDR. if i had to choose between 256mb off ddr and 1 gig of sdram i would go with the 1 gig. especially since its relatively an older processor/motheboard.

When boards have slots for DDR and SDRam, you can only use 1 type of memory at the time, so you´ll have to use the ddr or the sdr, not both.
