Hey, I would like to make a watch folder for itunes.

What I mean by that is similar to the "Watch Folder" ability in Windows Media Player. That is it has a folder (for example, "My Music") which it will constantly scan (or check every once in a while) for new music, that will be added automatically into your Music Library.

On my itunes, I always have to manually goto "add folder" and re-add my music folder so that it can find the new music to put into the library.

Is there a way in Itunes so that it always looks for new music?

Thank you

No.

I just drag and drop, when I rip a new album or whaatever, I just drag and drop into iTunes and then "Consolidate Library", delete ripped files (since iTuens copied them into it's directory, and then "Update Genius". Yea, it's more steps than it should be.

Now that's handy.

I wondered why they didn't incorporate that feature into iTunes yet, it's a Godsend with WMP11/WMC.

Because it's Apple. Apple will only put the features in to iTunes that they tell you is important.
