makeing suse 9.2 look cool...

i have kde 3.3

the gui looks ok... i know how to change the colors and all that stuff. but that isnt enough.

what im looking for that drastically changes the gui. something that really stands out.

anybody have any ideas?

just tried to install acqua...

it requries some programs that i cannot even install...

for gkrellm... i get this. (as super user)

Use YaST to get Grekllm. If it doesn't find it off the CD, then go to Novells website and get one of the FTP/HTTP Mirrors. Make sure to find one that is COMPLETE. It will find it. Let SuSE do the work.

All the same, if you are trying to compile Grekllm?
Usually you have to do.
Su Root
Enter Directory
./configure
(Massive amount of code spills out)
make
(Massive amount of code again)
make install
(Massive amount of code...)
make clean
(Medium amount of code)
exit

i tried to add mirror.mcs.anl.gov (says its complete) as an installation source and an update. it would not go as an install source.

tried to find gkrellm.... no go.

Yes those.

I had a similar problem. The thing is your not pointing the source to the right place.

I'm going to assume your entering the source like this:
http://ops.tamu.edu/suse/x86_64/9.2/suse/x86_64/

Where the last directory has all the RPMS.

What you need to set it to is
http://ops.tamu.edu/suse/x86_64/9.2/

Where you can see it has a .log and .install files.

I wouldnt know, I use gnome. What you should do, is install apt-get for suse.
