I backup all my CDs using WinIso, just in case. Currently, I am changing my computer and I'm unable to find my XP pro CD. I tried to resort to the backup: I copied it to CD-RW and tried to install it on my new computer. However, the disk is not bootable! I am thinking that when I made a copy (a while ago), I didn't know much about backups and must have not chosen then ASPI rip method in WinISO and have chosen "File" instead.
The CD runs fine in the OS, but when I choose "Install" in the OS and the process starts, I am unable to do a clean install b/c the message says that the files on the hard drive are being used.
Could you tell me how can I make my ISO backup bootable? I have already changed BIOS to boot from CD. I read some articles online about making a CD bootable, but they seem to be complicated. Is there a program to use or an easy way to do this?
