Make Virtualbox spread across 2 monitors as 1 screen?

I have 2 1680x1050 monitors on my workstation. I want to be able to spread Virtualbox across the width of BOTH monitors. Currently it "snaps" when you reach the edge of 1 monitor.

Setting Virtualbox to two monitors is problematic because 2 separate screens in cumbersome and also Linux Mint is just dead set on re-setting the left monitor as the primary monitor, but I use Virtualbox on the right monitor.

So I want to have a single desktop in Virtualbox that is something like 2300x900 and span across 2 physical monitors. Is this possible?
