Make Good Great Again!

At least the video is well put together. Not sure if it conveys anything important though.

In the beginning it sounded like they are promoting an epeen enlargement pill or some shit.

AMD had the Verdetrol pills a few years back.

I just hope the new marketing scheme actually works for them...

Looks good to me. People will hate them for making a video lol. But this is better than amd has fuckin done in ages. Atleast it shows they are getting serious about radeon. Radeon was a bad ass brand back in the day. Used to love those ruby demos. They used have me locked in. Glad they are atleast heavily focused on radeon brand now.

Personally i thought the video was good....Better Marketing is really needed by AMD for sure

Better products sell themselves, but I guess marketing videos that take subtle stabs at your previous products are cool too. :ROFLMAO:

I don't like the woman's voice.

Her voice is uninspiring and she sounded boring as hell.
If she had a sweet foreign accent it would have been better.

AMD: "Make Good Great Again"
Nvidia: "Make Great Greater Again".

I interpret their motto as pass off 'good' as 'great', the ultimate marketing dream of brainwashing people to believe your product is better than it actually is

I'm going to reopen this thread against my better judgement. The next political comment will earn the poster a night off from the forums.

Is it wrong to want to see the female talking in the video?.....I really dig that accent/voice and she sounds Hot! lol

I cannot say I agree with that. Also, unless Vega does 4k at 60fps for $400 or less, it would not be worth it, in my opinion. That is why I think the 1070 and 1080 are a complete waste for me, as nice as they are otherwise.

Seeing here would probably not fit the message. However, I am wondering if this is marketing material from the girl who was came over from Nvidia?

AMD has always had really cool marketing that sucked. Almost none of their stuff in the past actually show cased the hardware.

Anyone remember Ruby?

I mentioned ruby in my earlier post here. Yes I do! I used buy the fucking card just to play the ruby demo and drool over it. LMAO!

The ad seems like one of those made up for a product you can't actually talk about on TV. Like Viagra or douches, they skirt around the product without saying anything meaningful. I'm not sure actual ads can compete with the GPU hype machine anyway.

Probably the stupidest promotional video I have seen in ages. Whoever sat in on that meeting did not have enough coffee.

The content was bad but the video itself was put together well. Like not in an office with tape and some glue and paper. It just didn't make any sense to me what message they were conveying.

Make mediocre good again. See how stupid that slogan sounds?

How about: Make great affordable again. Make great mainstream again. Would've been much more inline with their marketing.

Or... Make affordable great again.
Whatever line they use, "great again" sort of shits on their past GPUs.

Doesnt really matter, its just supposed to be a funny tagline.

Exactly. It's "cool" to admit their past GPUs were shit, but it shouldn't be in a marketing promo video. That's the sort of thing you say during AMAs or Q&As.

???

If anything, AMD GPU's had held up over the test of time while Nvidia's has not - more like Nvidia shit GPU's are not being revealed by AMD Marketing. I thought the RX was suppose to be about bringing VR down to the Mainstream - Video is just weak on communicating what is being promoted, coming shortly, how it relates to you etc.

If you watched closely, there were a few scenes, like the one with the gas pump and the empty warehouse that, to me, suggests something about oil/gas consumption -> power consumption. The tagline Make good great again just reinforces that "feel".

Granted, it could've been used to show a dystopian future or whatever, lol. It's a huge mixed, unfocused ad that really doesn't deliver any concrete message.

Nicely put togheter but really? Rebellion/revolution?

With all the hype they've build up, if it doesn't deliver some people will be very very disappointed.

lol, your right, an ad about as dysfunctional as the marketing department of AMD. I've seen these type of adds before, normally about dealing with ED or something like that.

Well isnt iit obvius, the underdog is rebbelling against the overlords, and they start the rebillion tomorrow. And contius later wtih zen and vega. And well that littel polaris thing is in a price range where things, has just been good, at best, righ ?
So far it is looking like AMD is playing to win. I was hoping to see Rx470 and Rx460 also be available at the same time. Still seeing real stock is available shows confidence, good planning and turning around maybe a design short of goals but yet playing to win can succeed. Nvidia inability to meet demand will probably haunt them as this year goes on. Basically all Nvidia previous generation less than $500 products are trumped.

Really odd. I've never watched an advertisement for a video card ever. Can't imagine someone seeings this somewhere and running out to buy a GPU; its a really niche market. But if it helps then good for them. What matters first and foremost is performance and price. Nvidia has one in the bag. Benchmarks will determine if AMD has either.
