the blackberry 8310 (or whatever it is) ad causes CPU spikes on all my machines as well. Passed that one ad everything is silky smooth now!
only thing that sucks is on my work and main rig (im on my laptop right now) that blabkberry add will eventually cause flash to crash out. :(

really? why would they care if I block something on my personal comp? anyway the site is much better without it so I thought they would like to know its causing problems.... at least for me.

oh ok I see it in the rules. I didnt know it was a big deal as I was just trying to see if it was causing the my sluggishness. :eek:

to be honest I have to wonder if Firefox is part of my problem. Ever since the FF update a few days ago I have been having issues with flash. :confused:

I have noticed that the number of problems I have with firefox have increased since this crazy show of updates the last several weeks.
 
Noticing some big issues. Took about 45 seconds to open the home page, then page after page after that. I might have cleared up now. You may be doing work, not sure.
 
I'm getting really off and on performance from both my work machine and my home machine.

same. had a few white page loads recently and two DB fuck ups... PLEASE dont tell me the server is going nuts again :(
 
Just put a new quad core 64-bit webserver online with 8GB of RAM. Should help response time around here.
 
Sadly its really slow now, this page took 50 seconds to load!

edit:
in case it helps, the whole page eventually appears in one go, not in small bits.
 
That's strange. I'm just now experiencing slowdowns even though the new web sever went up today that was supposed to help with speeds.

No DB errors yet, though.
 
Huge slowdowns here too.. about 30sec to 1min to load a page.
 
Its very sporadic for me....was OK for a while now its back to being slow..
 
works perfectly then freaks out for a while. its been really bad the last few days especially today.
 
Yep, same here, sometimes I even double or triple post because the submit button won't do anything and some other times, it just hangs for even to go in or out of a forum.

I thought it was just me but I am glad is not... sad that we are having problems though.
 
The forum is literally running ALL or NOTHING. its either blazingly fast or takes almost a minute for any progress :(
 
slowdowns here, can be up to a minute before anything happens, quite often clicking stuff starts to load the page and just sits there and will never load, have to re-click.

Definately not my end, latest firefox, plenty of bandwidth etc
 
The old days? lol, it has been like this for the past year or so. It seems like [H] only works right one or two months out of the year. :p

problems were remedied around October, and IIRC only started around august... it was working great almost every other day...
