Hey! I just moved the computer in my sig to a new case last night and it has not been functioning since then. When I boot up, strange characters appear in random places on the screen, sometimes replacing text. I can get to the welcome screen in Windows XP PRO, but the mouse gets very laggy, the text on the start button becomes gray and blurred, and eventually, windows freezes. I can boot into safe mode fine, though. Does anyone know of a solution? If you would like to see pictures, I will post some later tonight. Thanks!

Try swapping everything out, ram, video card, etc. Make sure everything is tight on there, like the heatsink. and yes, please post some pics

I don't have any spare video cards or ram...but I reseated the video card and that didn't seem to help.

OMFG I am so pissed... I can log into windows in normal mode now and open AIM, but if I try to do something else, it locks up. I think the video card was overheating. I put two fans on the video card and the weird characters don't show up any more. I also put a fan on the southbridge because it seems to be getting pretty toasty.

Consider replacing the cooler altogether; ZM80s are pretty nice.

Or get a more conventional fanned cooler.
