Since my BD7II-RAID and P4 2.26B has been running @ 2.9GHz for 18 months. Never really needed much care, it just ran very well all the time.

The other day I installed Hmonitor just to see how it was doing and i noticed the Mainboard sensor goes up a lot when I make the computer work. Where is this sensor located?

sensors are usually located in the cpu mounting. so it'd be under the core once the proc is inserted.

and another is located somewhere else on the mobo usually on the bottom half away from the cpu.

The Mainboard sensor on the BD7-II-RAID is located in a position on the motherboard which gets really hot under load. Plus adding in the fact that Abit P4 boards read 10-15°C higher than the actual temps, you get some REALLY high readings.

On my BD7-II I get system temps of over 75°C under load, despite the fact that even the CPU under load runs at a far lower temperature. Its pretty ridiculous that abit located the sensor in a hotspot, but I wouldnt let the temperatures worry you.
