Honestly, I have no clue where this should go, buit hopefully someone will be able to help me out. I plan on adding subs in a custom sub box in the back of my car. And to save space I also plan on putting the PC into the sub box.

How far, by rule of thumb, should the subs be away from the harddrives for it not to fuck with the data? is 1' far enough?
 
I would think that even if you were able to safely put the drives that close to the sub, the vibrations alone would destroy the drive.
 
when i'm at home (summers) ive got my rack wiht 3 pc's in it placed so that its auctually touching a floorstanding 3way speeker.. never had a problem. There are also large mangents in the drive it self.. Chances are the drives would be killed due to vibrations long before being placed 1' from a speeker would do any damage.
