They mention in that review a magictune software package (4.0) that will auto-rotate the image for you when you rotate your monitor. Is such a program available for the Dell 2405FP? Or will the MagicTune software for the Samsung Monitor work for the Dell?

I know they have the same panel, but am not sure if that will work or if Dell even has its own software package for it (none came with the CD, just a manual).
 
No, there is no software that automatically rotates the screen when you rotate your monitor unless that feature is built in in hardware. As far as I know the 2405 doesn't have that function.

MagicTune is only for Samsung monitors.
