Isn't that kind of a canned statement? "More future prooof" - if the graphics card is the limiting factor now, not having any knowledge of what the future holds for graphic cards, it could still be possible that the graphics card is still the limiting factor on the next refresh.

I can't wait. I have been seeing awesome benchies from Centvalny and OverclockingGuru in the forums
here but no gaming results. Of course I have not asked them either.

From the results I have seen Conroe wins, regardless if it's 640x800, 1280x1240 or 1600x1200 regardless of the resolution or game Conroe came out on top. And, I am not talking by a few frames per second either. So, I am not sure what this magic 8 ball is talking about but he is already receiving cristism in other forums already. The only MB that I know of that slowed C2D down was a Nforce 590. Don't get me wrong it's a great board but with a better revision and some minor tweaks it can be a top contender IMO.

This is a bizarre post, IMHO.
To me, he's saying AMD's price cuts are going to return AMD to it's former Bang/Buck glory. He has also said in the past that Core2Duo will be the performance champion for at least 9 months. Somehow, I don't believe AMD has something huge up their sleeve....or their internal roadmaps would show it.

I would ROFLMFAOAD if AMD does have something huge up their sleeve though. It would be one of the most shocking things to happen in the hardware world, ever.

The Magic 8 Ball is a toy. It just says random things. To give you and idea of how it works.

I think [H]ardOCP is just having fun. Past previews with preconfigured hardware wasn't enough for some people. The idea is we won't know until NDA expires how people will cope with real reviews no matter how they turn out. I think this is just fun ribbing and not really news. Not something to be concerned about.

Well, the news could certainly go both ways. Hard may be hinting that Conroe doesn't have a large lead, or, they mey be hinting that Conroe blows AMD sky high out of the watter. We won't know until later today.
