Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of making my brother a computer for school. I put it all together and it posted correctly. Everything detected I looked through the BIOS. Then when it was booting from CD (XP Pro) and was passing the loading screen it says my motherboard was not ATAPI compatible (or something) and to hit F7 at loading screen. So I get by that and I almost format get another random error something about stopping harm to my computer. Finally I get a format through after and it tries to load windows files, then all of a sudden it says it cant write certain dll's and such. So I swap CD-Rom's, same problem. Then I left it on at the screen where it couldn't write dll's hile I'm looking through here and my computer turns off. Now it won't turn on. This sucks, I've built computers before never had this much trouble. Here is my setup:

AMD 64-bit 3000+
Radeon 9600XT
NEC 2510A
WD CAVIAR 80G SE
2XSamsung 256MB
ANTEC Aria Case w/ 300W PS
DFI K8M80-MLVF

What should I do? What should I RMA. PLease help.

Okay it booted I pulled out the plug and changed sockets and it works again. But now what?

One more thing I get some weird error screens every once and awhile and whenever I search the error number ex: 0x000000A5 (ACPI error) I get a list of WIN 2000 errors.

Alright it says msi.dll was not copied correctly, then I retry it works. Same for the files that follow:
wmploc.dll
netshell.dll
vssapi.dll

Then it got stuck at
dbghelp.dll

Before it was some different dll's. So I'm not to sure, maybe its the CD maybe it's the ram but I have no clue.

Okay Tried XP Home goes further with no copy error but then I get a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA error with technicle info as 0x00000050

Sorry I keep answering my own questions, it was memory - I pulled out one DIMM and it worked. Do you think it is a faulty DIMM or dual channel support on the motherboard?
