Madding Bitdefender issue with vista 64

I have been satified with bitdefender since 2007 so I went ahead and bought bitdefender 2009 and found some serious and random issues:

1. The main screen does not like to load (some it does) from either the task bar, shortcut or from all programs. When I can load bitdefender works (sometimes ).

2. Randomly, bitdefender decides to allow me to access the main console to take care of "alerts" but it then does not allow me to scan!

Does anybody have the same issue or fix. I have allready uninstalled and reinstalled BD 2009 and got the same issue. According to the main BD site, 2009 IS compatible with Vista 64. Going to their forum is useless.

Any ideas? (Yah I know try another anti-virus).......

I chatted with bittdefender for awhile and they sent a new 64 bit file with a bitdefender cleaner. After a reeinstall, everything seems to work. I hope this ends this fiasco.
