I enjoy taking photographs just for fun. I am not too knowledgable about the finer points of photography, but would like to try some macro shots. I need some ideas of a few decent macro lenses that go for about $500 or less. I have my eyes on the EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro from Canon with the Life-Size Converter for added working space. I have a Canon EOS Rebel X (not digital). I have seen many of the photos that most of you have taken and I am floored at how nice they are. I figured that you all might have some good ideas for me. Thanks.
