so i need another reason to push me over the edge and get a macmini to replace my quad gaming rig. Im really sick of windows, and i love my mbp to death. Im not much into pc gaming anymore so the gma950 is not a problem. Do you guys think a macmini with a dualhead2go with two 2407s would be a good replacement just for doing web coding, web browsing, and just normal office tasks?

GMA950 can't handle 2 2407's with the dualhead2go. Requires ATI or nVIDIA dedicated graphics for that resolution.

Personally I think you'd be better off getting a last gen iMac and a 2nd display. The Mac Mini's are cool but they're slow compared to even the lowest end iMac. You should be able to find an iMac for around the same price.

Im thinking about getting a macbook and using my mbp as a desktop, or getting a G5

What's the point then? You already have a laptop, and you're only saving 2".

I'd recommend just buying a mini-DVI adapter and using your Pro like a desktop, like you said, and taking it with you when you have to.

I wouldn't bother with a G5, personally. I don't like the idea of buying into old technology, even if they are fast.
