Macbook Trackpad Creaking

So, I've had my Macbook for a week, and it so far works well. However, an emerging problem (Not sure if it is), is that when I push on the centre bottom of the trackpad button, there's a creaking noise. Not a silent click, but a creaking one. Is this normal? Seems a bit annoying. The entire button, except for that area, is quiet, and the click still registers there. If it's fixable, can I fix it, or does it need to be replaced?

Within 14 days?

Get an exchange ASAP.

Else,

Take it to the genius bar and get it fixed.

This is not normal behavior. You got a lemon.

Huh, funny. It went away after I cleaned the computer with a slightly damp cloth. Gonna try and use it, see if the problem comes back.

I wouldn't worry about it. If it really bothers you, take it in and have the top case replaced.

Did you get Applecare? I actually think it's worth it, especially on the portables.

I'm still waiting on my enlistment, and as a student getting that money isn't easy after buying a Mac.So, I'm still saving up for Applecare, hopefully I'll have it within three months.

Fixed it. Placed a cardstock paper shim between the battery and trackpad. If i press down really hard, it creaks, but otherwise, it doesn't creak at all now.

I should go to the Apple Store when I get a chance though.
