Hey Mac-ites! Happy Holidays!

I'm wondering if anybody here has been using one of the newer Macbook Pro 17" Core 2 Duo notebooks as a desktop replacement. In particular, if I were to purchase one next year, would it be able to handle the occasional game that I'd like to play on Windows/OSX? About all the computer games I get around to playing anymore are the Blizzard games WarCraft 3 and World of WarCraft. Occasionally I will get into a strategy game like Age of Empires.

Of course, the hardware will probably see another upgrade or two before I decided to purchase next year. If I were to order one today, I'd be looking at the standard offering (2.33GHz C2D, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB HDD) with a glossy screen.

Like I said, I'm talking about occasional gaming. I don't plan on running the next Quake or Battlefield game. I've mostly lost interest in those anyway.

You'll be fine, I've played HL2 on my 2.0Ghz Core Duo MacBook Pro.
