I'm comfortable with both Mac and Windows systems but I'm kinda unsold on the new unibody 13" MacBooks. Which PC manufacture makes a similar laptop with a 13" screen (if possible)? I am wondering if there is a PC laptop that is close in price but higher in performance?

The 13" laptop size would be great for carrying around or watching movies and video files while in bed. The only gaming would be casual types like Peggle or World of Goo.

I'm not a big Dell fan of laptops. :(

Any ideas?

TIA.

Except for the part where you don't like them, I think I remembered the XPS M1330 being mentioned. No idea if it was good or not. :D

I read the review of the new Studio XPS 13 here. The big problem they mentioned was the build quality was not good.

You gotta understand that nothing is going to be as well built as the Apple for the price, but sheer specs wise, the Studio 13 is a very nice machine.

Thinkpad SL300 ......

has that beautiful thinkpad construction, plus nvidia graphics, long battery life.... basically all of the awesomeness of the macbook, for a good 500 buck discount...

actually quite a bit nicer than a macbook :)

only problem is they have been phased out... :( :( :( :(
