i have recently put mac onto my sony vaio laptop but i only have 1 last problem to crack and its my biggest one. i have a :-

Audio Output: Sound card

Audio Codec: Realtek ALC203

Compliant Standards: AC '97

this is a intergrated sound card and i am unable to get this to work. i cant find drives for it to run on mac i also try searching for it in my sound devices and it shows i have no input or output sound device installed on my mac

any ideas on how i can get sound ?

What do you mean you put mac on your vaio that in no way makes sense... Mac is a kind of cumputer not an OS.

Now im assuming your using one of the OSX crack OS's so you may be SOL until someone working on whatever one you have makes some drivers. It would help if you included what you where actually using instead of saying "Mac"

im on Mac os 10.4.6 and iv been looking round for the driver with no success :( and i have not input or output sound in my setting so there no sound at all. i was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. i said that i had installed mac onto my sony vaio laptop i did not think vaio was an operating system lol....

thx for the post tho

any other ideas

Exactly...you said you installed a computer onto a computer...Mac is a
COMPUTER MODEL OSX is an operating system you cannot install "Mac" on anything...

After doing some research however there currently is no driver for your sound chip for OSX X86. You will have to wait for someone to make some. I suggest heading over to the insanely mac forums and asking someone there.
