I've been sitting on these long enough for them to lack relevance due to age, but here they are anyway. I searched the [H]ard|Forums and found nothing like it. I was able to get ahold of screenshots of directions for technicians on how to service the Mac Mini. I'm soon to delete these from my hard drive, and I think they might help someone out there. If nothing else, it serves as a nice tour around the Mac Mini, regardless of what you want the information for. Enjoy!

Personally I'm waiting for putty knives with the Apple logo in it. :cool:
 
I don't know where this came from, but its nothing like the service manuals Apple gives us, likely something a reseller came up with for its employees or something.
 
You're right Galvatron, it's not from Apple. It's from a reseller. Pages 1-17 of that document were all about introducing, explaining, and selling the Mac Mini. It featured things like what iLife was all about, what could be upgraded on the Mac Mini, and how to sell it to customers. Specifically, it talked about how much of a customer's old PC-gear, like monitor, keyboard, etc. could be used with the Mac Mini, and what accessories you could pawn off onto them, considering accessories is where many companies make much of their money. They're always looking at the size of their average baskets and wanting them to be bigger. Quite phallic, if you ask me.

Consider, you can get a F3U133-10 Belkin 10 ft USB A/B device cable at Walmart for $24.95, oooorrrr you could buy a F3U133-16 Belkin 16 ft USB A/B device cable at NewEgg.com for $11.99. Tack on the extra $5 for saver shipping and you're still getting about $10 off if you have to pay state sales tax. Go generic, and you can get a 10 ft cable for $3 plus $5 shipping. Go to Directron.com and get a 6 ft. USB device cable for $3 with FREE SHIPPING (here: http://www.directron.com/usb210ab.html ). If you want to screw retailers, buy your CDs/DVDs/etc when it first comes out (and they're offering doorbusters at a loss), buy things when they're on deep sales, and don't buy accessories or extended warranties/service plans. Or do what most of us do anyway and buy online from NewEgg.com, ZipZoomFly.com, and Directron.com (to name a few).

I don't have anything against retailers. They're great for getting CDs, DVDs, and some appliances, TVs, etc, but it sucks to know that you're paying to pad their pockets and so they can pay incompetant people too much, very competant people too little, and so they can hire people who want to sell you crap, not help you.

to be the iPutty it must meet the following:

-must be white
-all edges must be of a perfect fillet
-It must always maintain its shineyness
-It must be at least 2x faster than its microsoft/intel (see 2006) counterpart in only one benchmark, but totally gets raped in all others.
-It must cost twice as much as it's windows counterpart
-apple must claim to have originated this putty knife
-This "iPutty" must be totally simple in design, as apples team of engieers in california have done research to get rid of the un-needed features of competing putty knives

Actually, no. It will be extremely shiny when it's new, but it will instantly become scratched and get finger prints all over, much to the dismay of the owner. ;)

Apple credit? Wouldn't that be "iCredit"? The credit card that is whiter, shinier, better looking than all the competetor's cards>
