I saw this on digg earlier.....surprised it made it. There's a mac bias on digg I tend to think.

Good work on the paint and guts replacement but something tells me mac users just don't understand modding at all. :D
 
that looks awesome. Do you have any links to LCD's that could potentially work? I have a Mac Classic in my basement somewhere :)
 
Very intersting, as I have an original Classic here also gathering dust waitng for the knife. I was looking at LCD's, but the cost has been the deterrent for me. I would love to mount an XGA 9" LCD in there and mod the insides for mine. What you did there looks great though.

Question: Did yours have the ultra deep recessed torx screws in the top? I haven't found a driver long enough to get mine out without ordering one. :(
 
Hey thanks guys, the CRT was a must to "keep it real", there aren't LCD screens in this size, I looked around for a long while, and never found one. But good luck.

A color CRT would be a better bet.

As for the deep torx screws, believe it or not you can just use a bic ballpoint pen body (the white stick), and shove a torx bit in one end, and a torx driver in the other, it works!
