First off, Hi there. I'm new to the forums and have a pretty crappy technical situation I'm hoping you can help with...

So, I recently bought a maxtor 3200 and checked up to see that it would run okay with my mac:

Everything worked fine. I plugged it in, reformated it in Fat32, backed up all my data and double checked to make sure I could read/write to it. However, after reformatting my computer all of a sudden the computer will not read the disk. It tells me the disk is unreadable (literaly...a window pops up on the screen) but I can still locate it if I go into disk utilities.

I tried plugging it into my PC to see if I could read it too...and my PC dosen't register it being plugged in either. If I go in disk utilities, it tells me it's unformatted, but with 93 gigs of space...

So, I know my data's on there, but I'm not sure what to do because neither of my computer recognize it...I'm hoping one of you can help me out here...

I'm going to post this thread in the Mac section too...I don't know if that's allowed on this board. If not, please delete the double post and place it where you see fit....
