for future reference, please separate your entry by category or tell me what the program does. this makes it WAY faster to sort. I'm do expert on all the programs out there, just trying to help make a coherent list for everyone.

I know we have another thread that people have posted their favorite programs, but we do not have one where there is an updated list at the top.

productivity:
fluid app
google notifier

games:
plants v. zombies

customization:
coversutra

My favorite FTP program is Transmit, although unlike some other FTP alternatives, it isn't free.. Also, I like RipIt for media ripping, and compliments Handbrake quite well I think.

Holy shit, you guys use a lot of stuff.

Web: FF
Office: OOO
Customization: Cinch (Aero Snap for OS X)
Productivity: NetNewsWire (RSS), Evernote
Content Creation: Sketchup
Torrent: Transmission

Any of you guys know any program to store PDFs in a database a la iTunes? Evernote does it fine but.. Evernote operates on a security-for-sale business model

After terpfen mentioned it in another recent thread, I think Movist (video player) should be added.
