M6805 - Explorer.exe problems w/SP2

I had a dickens of a time solving a random Explorer.exe crash when trying to view the C:\ drive. I just upgraded the bios and installed SP2.

I solved it by removing the Generic Flashcard driver and removing the Omega drivers and installing the original ATI drivers from the CD.

I am thinking it has something to do with the Omega drivers or the Flashcard driver from Neodio.

Anyone else experience this? I guess we need a confirmation here so we can tell the Omega programmer.
 
it's the omega drivers because i didn't have that problem and i kept the flashcard drivers
 
I'm having a similar problem but I can ONLY install the Omega drivers. When I try to install ATI drivers, the install quits and says if could not find any valid hardware to install

SP2 has really fucked up my m6805, even after multiple formats/reinstalls, bios flash to the m6811.

It's useable now, but only when plugged in. On battery, everything slows to a crawl.

I reserve the right to be horribly wrong here, but....
I believe if you are downloading the latest drivers from ATI, that you need to use the "mobility modder" tool to make them work with the mobility 9600 in the m6805

You need to mod the ATI drivers using an ATI driver mod tool and then install them. Or , if you are just trying to install the ATI drivers off of your restore disk, you will need to make sure that the VIA Chipset Video drivers are installed off of the system restore disk.
