M1015 Crossflash - failed to initialize PAL

In my attempt to flash my firmware to IT I'm getting this error:

Failed to initialize PAL. Exiting program.

I'm using 990FX-UD3-AM3+

According to google results, there have been no issues flashing with this.. I've not found a way to get to the UEFI shell, any suggestions anyone? =/
 
Managed to get some EFI shell documentation and some files to put on a USB from a friend. All resolved.
