does anyone here know if the HP envy Ryzen laptop comes with the m2. mounting screw. I don't get why the m2 drives just don't come with a mounting screw can't cost more than a fraction of a cent. If you have a link where I can get one please post it. I don't want to buy a large qty either.. Thank you
 
M.2 screws are generally preinstalled in the motherboard, at least for desktops.
 
I bought an Asus VR laptop the screw came in a separate bag. I just ordered the HP Ryzen on sale with a samsung 960 nvme 250gb. You would think HP would include the screw but manufacturers are cheap these days...and HP is one of the cheapest....
 
Yeah well none of the local ace or lowes where I live have any of those sizes. I live in a really small town in upstate NY....
 
You're going to just need to open it and look. Worst case, you have to order a few.

only thing near me is an ace, but they have a whole selection of metric screws, so +1 for the smaller chain in really really small town ;). You can get them on amazon if you don't mind ordering a bunch.
