Lyra vs. Ipod USB port.

[upriverpaddler]

To start: I know nothing about Ipods. Have never even held one in my hand.

There are lots of accessories for Ipods. Docking stations and speakers that the Ipod drops into and such. Does the Ipod have a 1/8" stereo jack on top and a USB port on the bottom?

I got a RCA Lyra 4GB mp3 player for Christmas. There are NO accessories for this thing available that I can find. I'm interested in a little speaker base type of thing that lots of companies are making for Ipods now.

So I guess the questions are: Does anybody know if the Lyra would work in an Ipod slot? Is there and audio out in the USB port of the Lyra (such as to make a homemade base)?

The port on the bottom of an iPod isn't a standard USB port, so I think you're probably SOL on this route.
