I have an LSI MegaRAID 9260-8i with 7x 4TB HGST NAS drives in RAID6.
I realize I may get a bunch of people saying "But server cards aren't meant for sleep/S3!" I know. I've been told that before. The thing is, it's worked just fine most of the time.
Except now it does not. Twice, I've had the last drive in the array come up "Unconfigured bad." This just started randomly as I said before--it's been functioning perfectly.
Two things come to mind:
1. Blame the Icy Dock FatCage--in its "bad" state the drive appears as a 3.0Gbps device, but remove/replace caused it to eventually show up properly again. Still marked for a rebuild though.
2. Blame the boot wait, like this.
It's always the last drive that pulls shenanigans. It rebuilds fine, but then the next sleep cycle causes the alarm to screech about a missing or bad drive.
Thus, I would like to know if there's a way to make the card wait longer before it throws a fit because I don't think the data on the drive is damaged.
