Hi,

I have an older system with Windows Vista w/2 raptors in RAID-0 on the motherboard controller (ICH based) and also an older laptop with 750GB disk running Windows 7.

My RAID does > 1gbyte/sec write, 1.4-1.6gbyte/sec read on my LSI-9260-8i but my system takes a long time to boot (1-2min or so) Windows initially, does anyone know if there is a guide to:

1. Speed up the raid card boot time.
2. Speed up Windows 7 boot time for this raid controller?

Thanks.

None. the slow boot is the card initializing itself and spinning up the drives in a sequence to avoid overtaxing the PSU.

Does the controller have a staggered spin-up option? If so, given you are using SSDs, you can probably disable that?

Hi,

I'll check it out, thanks.
Yeah there is an option in there but long story short, my motherboard isn't compatible with their latest firmware when there is anything attached to the card, thanks though.
