LSI 9260 Hitachi Compatible?? Need Help Please

Ok. I know the LSI and Intel board are compatible. they are the same chipset almost. Anyways. I need to know if my 9 Hitachi Deskstars will work with them.


My adaptec 51245 Didn't like but 3 of them. I have Deskstars 3TB 5400 RPM 0S03230 drives. I know they are not listed on the compatibility sheet. But i don't really have an option to go and buy all new drives. So i am trying to locate a Raid setup that will be future proof that is compatible with these drives. Any suggestions please.
 
deskstars are not raid compatable.

Will they work? mostly.

But the retry method they use, will timeout the raid cards though. This is why you will never find them on the compatability list.
 
Ok. thanks for the info. They have been in Raid 6 for 2 years on a RocketRaid Card 3530. So I know they work well. Just need to make sure I can get away with them for a bit longer for this upgrade.
