Hi all,

I am will be migrating my current setup off an LSI 8408e to a LSI 9260-i8. This will be a complete rebuild since I will be changing some of my drives to SATA3 (the rest already are) and build a RAID6 array (6 spinny drives) instead of the current RAID5.

I'd like some recommendations for controller and RAID settings; the controller has a 512MB of cache and a BBU.

The box it will be in will run XenServer 6.2 and will be running several VMs. Most of them are pretty docile - a PBX, a surveillance server with 3 cameras... things like that. But one of them has continuous SQL transactions.

The OS will run on a separate RAID1 build off two 32 GB SSDs.

Thanks in advance!
