I was wondering if these work in a pci-e x4 slot. I really only need 4 sas drives but these are the cheapest i can find. Most of the 4 port sas cards cost a lot more.

I need something which is supported in OpenSolaris.

I know this is normally a pci-e x8 card but since i'm only using half of it anyways, i'm not worried about the lower speed. Thanks in advance
 
Just to let people know...i emailed LSI and this card will work in a slot which is ELECTRICALLY pci-e x4

It has to physcially be a pci-e x8 Which is what i need anyways. ( i have a slot which is physically a x8 slot but it is electrically a x4 slot)
