Lowering clone mode resolution

I have an ati radeon 9700 pro with the new cat 4.5 drivers. I enabled my television and I am using clone mode, but the resolution of the tv is still to high. My monitor is at 1280 x 1024 and my tv is running at 1024 x 768, I don't see any options to lower this. Does anyone know of any workarounds?
 
A clone is an exact copy.
If it where at different resolutions, it could not be an exact copy.
So no, you cannot have clone mode displayed at different resolutions.
 
umm but I already have them at different resolutions, there is just no way to adjust it(that I know of)
