So there are these things called "window fans" which are a great investment for a hot apartment rooms. I got one at lowe's yesterday for about 40 bucks. Lowered the core temp by 12C. amazing. I have it on high in the day blowing out and low at night also blowing out. Even has a thermostat which does work. Best money I've spent in a while.
Going to get some weather stripping in a few days to replace the clear tape I'm using now to keep flys out of the cracks. Also this thing has individual fan speed control and direction settings. I'm delighted with this product and if you are suffering from hot temps (my room was about 85 deg F) you should get one. Take out your screen stick this thing in the window and extend the panels. Add some weather stripping to close the gaps and watch your temps fall. I'm really surprised how much ambient temps make a different. Want to share this with everyone as a great solution.
