E8400 @ 4.0, 4GB DDR2-1066, HD5870 2GB Eyefinity6 x 2, both @ x16
Windows Vista x64 SP2 w/ DX11, 11.7 Cats, 11.7 CAP

Far Cry 2, I'm getting about 15 fewer frames in CFX vs Single GPU
Street Fighter IV, AVERAGE: 211.20FPS (1xGPU), AVERAGE: 207.54FPS (CFX)
World in Conflict, slight increase in CFX, 59 to 62 (Average)

Are these games just simply poor performing games in CFX?

In 3DMark11, P3829 in Single GPU, P6128 in CFX.. so it seems to be working in 3DMark11

Any other benchmarks I should try, or is it simply the games I'm playing just not being optimized well for CF?

yes, some games might cause a bad crossfire experience due to how old it is and how the engine is made.

All those games are either old, or not really demanding.

FC2 is old and a single 5870 already runs it really well.

SF4 as you can see isn't demanding. You're getting 200+FPS with a single card already. You're getting less FPS in CF since there is no scaling, and you're actually losing FPS because of CF driver overhead.

WiC is a CPU demanding game. You won't see a FPS increase unless you went with say a 2500K.

3DMark11 is a benchmark tool and so is very demanding. As you can see CF is doing it's job here.
