Any ideas why 3DMark2005 would score 12.5k then drop to 9k and keep scoring under 10k? Normal numbers for my setup are 12k+. Not sure what's going on, nothing changes from one run to the next.

Check to see if any programs are running in the background. Anti-virus maybe

I found that my clock speeds are getting stuck at 2D and not switching over. Try setting your clocks speeds again and then run 3Dmark.

This is weird I can even increase my core/mem to 500/1350 and it does finish with a score of 10kish....

Seems that the speeds are off.... Any other ideas?

Perhaps your CPU is overheating, and thus throtteling back on the OC, hence giving lower scores?

That would be in line with that it happens after a while...when the cards get hot....

Terra...

Im getting over 13K with the release of the 8XXX drivers and im not running as fast as your FX-57, maybe re-install the drivers and check your profile settings. It has to be something simple.

I'm thinking it may be related to powerstip 3.62. Can you confirm that you are running this version of powerstrip (if you having the same problem)?

I do not have powerstrip. Allthough I was using rivatuner. I uninstalled it and cleaned the drivers off my system and then installed the 80.82's.

Usually I would enable coolbits and then use riva tuner to set the clocks after failing to do it in coolbits (coolbits fails the test) This time I rebooted and then went straight to coolbits and did my overclock (it passes usually on a reboot) and the problem has not returned.

I think it has something to do with coolbits failing the overclock and setting a improper default that keeps getting referred to. for me anyway. :)

I'm using 78.01s and when I'm not running Powerstrip the socres are always 12k+.

However I do need to find a good undeclocker because I get some random artifacts at 490/1300, i found out that 480/1275 runs like a champ.... but don't wanna sacrisfice performace to a 20% by running powerstrip... Is rivaturner any better?
